When Eric and Rhonda first reached out to me I immediately knew I wanted to be a part of their wedding day. They talked about the epic views in Estes Park and the rustic, natural beauty that Black Canyon Inn has to offer. They also wanted to be super intentional about spending time with their guests and having an epic dance party. Say no more!
The historic Stanley Hotel is only a few miles from Black Canyon Inn and makes for a really great wedding venue or also a great getting ready location. All the girls had their hair and makeup done in a beautiful, open space that was full of natural light and they guys were in a cool Airbnb just down the road. We were able to do the father – daughter first look as well as Eric and Rhonda’s first look in their beautiful rose garden. After that we were able to get some awesome portraits in front of the hotel.
One of the coolest things about Black Canyon Inn is that they have different areas throughout the property to choose from. Eric and Rhonda chose the pavilion for the ceremony, the green for their cocktail hour and the Lodge for their reception and dance party. We were able to sneak away for some sunset portraits and then got right back to celebrating with their friends and family. I think a major draw to Black Canyon Inn is that everything is in one place, there is no travel from one location to another throughout the day. There is an option to stay on the property as well in the cutest cabins!
The coolest part about having a wedding in Estes Park is that there are so many fun things to do! It is a major destination within the state of Colorado for so many reasons. Any outdoor enthusiast would have the best time. Check out their website to see all the fun activities!
